  I have been here a few times since I have moved down here and have ALWAYS had an amazing experience. The food is amazing, the fish is fresh, and the atmosphere is great. Tonight, my father, boyfriend and I dined there and we had a waiter named Will. Of you read this review, you MUST request him. Aside from having a kind and light hearted energy, he didn't hover or make you feel rushed. He smiled and was polite and thoughtful. Salt Rock Grill is very lucky to have him. We will be back!

  Pros:
  I wasn't able to get service, so don't know if the food is good, but the atmosphere was very nice, and there is outdoor seating area near the water.
  
  Cons:
  Does not allow dogs on the patio, unlike nearby restaurants, and is not familiar with ADA rules. I often have my non-service dogs with me, so was disappointed that I had to leave, as I was told that their policy changed and they no longer allow dogs.
  
  What really disappointed me:
  Outside bartender asked me right away for "service papers" for my two small, well- behaved dogs, when we sat down at the bar.
  
  I NEVER claimed they were service dogs, nor would I ever try to misrepresent them as such, as people with real disabilities are harmed by those deceptive actions.
  
  It was embarrassing and uncomfortable, as it felt like it was assumed that we were trying to get away with something, when that couldn't be further from the truth. Left a bad taste, so reluctant to go back, even without dogs.
  
  ADA LAWS: It is my understanding that businesses are not permitted to ask for papers for service animals. While I understand both sides of that issue, suggest management review ADA rules and train staff, before they get themselves into legal trouble. People with real disabilities don't walk around with legal papers justifying their disability.

  A. In situations where it is not obvious that the dog is a service animal, staff may ask only two specific questions: (1) is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? and (2) what work or task has the dog been trained to perform? *** Staff are not allowed to request any documentation for the dog, require that the dog demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability. ***
  
  Q8. Do service animals have to wear a vest or patch or special harness identifying them as service animals?
  A. No. The ADA does not require service animals to wear a vest, ID tag, or specific harness.
